Privacy Notice
The information collected when you send Floor Forge a project request.
Effective September 30, 2026 · Revision 1.5. Floor Forge Garage is operated by David Williams. Contact david@hashbit.it about this notice or your information.
Required and optional information
An estimate request requires your name, email address, ZIP code, project type, desired timing, and agreement to project contact. Phone, notes, approximate square footage, coating and budget details, and one project photo are optional. Unknown finish, preference, and damage options are available; a blank area is recorded as unknown. If you provide an area, its approximate or measured status is recorded.
Photos must be JPG, PNG, or WebP and no larger than 3 MB. Images can contain embedded metadata such as location or device details; remove it before uploading if you do not want to share it. Do not upload people, house numbers, identity documents, or other unnecessary sensitive content.
Budget totals are calculated from the numbers you submit. Do not send payment details, account passwords, identity documents, or other sensitive information in the notes.
How the request is used and stored
We use your details to review the question, respond about the project, and clarify missing information. A request is not a newsletter subscription or permission for unrelated marketing. Requests are saved as private records in WordPress; administrators can read them. An optional photo is encoded in private record metadata, not saved to the public Media Library; administrators can download it after signing in. A notification containing the submitted text details, but not the photo, is sent to the site’s configured administrative email address.
The website is hosted on Hostinger. Hosting and the configured email service process information needed to deliver those services. The request form uses a hashed network identifier to limit repeated submissions; that limit expires ten minutes after the last accepted attempt in the window. Hosting logs may retain IP addresses and other technical information separately.
Contractor introductions
The form does not automatically send information to a contractor. If an introduction is discussed, we name the contractor and ask before sharing your request. The receiving contractor then handles the information under its own practices. Submission does not guarantee an introduction.
Browsing and calculator use
You can read guides and use the calculator without sending contact details. When you continue from the calculator, non-contact project choices, area, and budget inputs are placed in the request-page URL. They may appear in browser history and server logs. To omit them from the URL, use “Start a request without these inputs” and enter any desired details on the form.
The Floor Forge theme does not add advertising pixels or behavioral analytics. This describes the theme’s behavior; hosting and separate WordPress plugins may process technical information, including request times, IP addresses, browser details, and logs. Administrative login and other enabled WordPress functions may use cookies. The theme does not implement a separate response to a browser’s Do Not Track signal.
Retention and requests about your data
There is no automatic deletion period configured for saved project records or photos. They remain in the private administration area until manually deleted. WordPress privacy erasure removes the saved request and its photo metadata; notification emails and hosting backups are separate copies governed by the relevant account settings, and deleting a WordPress record does not itself remove those copies. A data access request involving a photo may require separate secure delivery after identity verification.
Email us to request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with your email address, or to stop project follow-up. We may need to verify your identity and review any applicable retention obligations. Do not send identity documents unless a suitable verification process has been agreed.
External links and updates
Manufacturer and licensing links open services with their own privacy practices. This planning resource is intended for adults arranging home projects; contact us if a child has submitted information. We will update the notice and revision date when the described practices change.
