Polyaspartic Flooring Systems
Evaluate the full system and schedule behind a fast-application claim.
A fast application claim can hide the full schedule
“One-day floor” can describe application without answering when vehicles, equipment, or cleaning may return. A short installation window is useful only if the preparation, layer sequence, and return-to-use instructions also fit your project.
Read the polyaspartic layer in context
Request the product names and roles throughout the system. A polyaspartic product may be specified as an exposed coat over a decorative broadcast finish; the complete proposal still needs the substrate assessment, preparation, repairs, and compatible underlying layers.
Sika describes Sikafloor 515 as a clear polyaspartic product with UV resistance and applications over broadcast finishes. Those properties belong to that named product; verify the product actually proposed. Source reviewed September 27, 2026.
Review a sample for appearance and texture. A clear topcoat does not make the underlying color, flake blend, or preparation irrelevant.
Make speed and finish useful to your project
- Defined return to use: a product-specific schedule can support parking or operating plans without assuming full cure at the end of application.
- A deliberate exposed finish: confirm appearance and UV information for the proposed topcoat where sunlight matters.
- A consistent comparison: named layers reveal whether a competing offer covers an equivalent system.
- Fewer handover gaps: care instructions explain the restrictions that remain after the installer leaves.
A chemistry label does not establish that every polyaspartic system is faster, more durable, or better suited to a particular slab. Compare the complete scope and relevant manufacturer instructions.
Check the proposal before reserving the garage
- State the downtime constraint: identify when walking, storage, vehicle access, or business operations must resume.
- Separate preparation from application: confirm removal and repairs, rather than placing all work inside the advertised coating window.
- Record conditions and milestones: obtain the written traffic schedule for the specified system and the conditions that could change it.
- Arrange the fallback: keep alternative parking or access available until the appropriate use is approved.
Example: if your garage must store a vehicle overnight, ask for the actual vehicle-return instruction before accepting a one-day application claim. Early walking permission answers a different question.
See the named product comparison for examples of working time, foot traffic, and full cure.
Clarify the proposed schedule
Send the system name and the return-to-use wording you received. Floor Forge can review a planning question; installation approval belongs with the contractor.
